If you do not want to dedicate your entire trip to one focus or activity, we offer the option to choose up to 4 of the activities listed to integrate into a trip. Just contact us mentioning the activities that most interest you and we will put together a bespoke itinerary including those activities in the most logistically feasible order.

* The highland plateaus of Socotra are home to a wealth of above-ground fossils. During fossil scouting there will be no excavation and no fossils will be taken from where they are found. Nonetheless, the fossils still make for fantastic photos and great memories.
** Socotra is home to a number of trees that harbor valuable and therapeutic resins. In this activity local harvesters will teach the methods of resin harvesting along with traditional knowledge and biology of relevant species. This activity has a limited number of participants per month and participants are obliged to purchase a small amount of resin products directly from local harvesters.

Specialized Itineraries
Due to its high levels of endemic biodiversity and largely pristine habitats, Socotra is an ideal destination for the observation of biodiversity, and for non-destructive outdoor recreational activities. In addition, the archipelago is to a rich cultural heritage with complex traditions that are often intrinsically tied to surrounding nature. With specialized itineraries that focus on the this fascinating natural and cultural heritage we hope to incentivize and contribute to the preservation of this natural and cultural heritage.
Our range of specialist and activity-focus itineraries are led by international and local experts in their respective fields and allow you to dig deep and really get involved with a variety of natural, cultural, academic and experiential aspects that make Socotra so special.
Itineraries can also be structured to combine up to 3 different focuses. Some of these itineraries vary in the level of physical ability and experience required. Some itineraries, like "trekking," allow for choice in the degree of physical difficulty and others like "herpetology-focus" allow to choose the degree of academic depth.
