Currently, the only guaranteed commercially available method for foreign travelers to reach Socotra is by air from Abu Dhabi via the following air route:

Arrives at Socotra (SCT) at ~10:40

Every Tuesday
Departs from Socotra (SCT) at ~12:10
Arrives at Abu Dhabi (AUH) at ~15:25
Overall, the procedure for getting to and from Socotra is straightforward and hassle-free. With that said, unfortunately tickets cannot be bought online and visas must be sponsored by a tour operator and issued by local authorities before purchasing tickets.

General procedure for acquiring visas to Socotra
Click on the "Contact Us" tab on the top menu, write us, and let us know:
1) Your name(s)
2) Travel dates (keeping in mind that flights to and from Abu Dhabi are currently on Tuesdays)
3) Number of travelers
4) Which excursions and/or activities you would like to engage in while on the island
5) Any other questions, comments, of clarifications you can think of
Once we have established contact, we will ask you to send us a copy of your passport photo page. We will then proceed to having visas issued for Socotra. This process usually only takes a few days from the submission of documents to the Socotri authorities.
After the visas have been issued, we will proceed to get in touch with the Yemenia Airlines office in Cairo and purchase flight tickets to and from Socotra. As soon as they are issued, online tickets will be sent to your e-mail. Tickets can only be purchased after having been issued a Socotri visa.
